Japan Gets a New Wii Bundle

Japan Gets a New Wii Bundle

None

The 25th anniversary of the Mario franchise has been nothing short of a national holiday in Japan, complete with commemorative game releases and a special-edition DSi to help fans celebrate this milestone. And if you haven’t had enough of Mario-mania yet, a new Wii bundle has been announced for Japan, which includes the new Wii Remote Plus remote, which has the WiiMotion Plus add-on inside the unit. In addition to the new remote, this red Wii bundle will also include a special edition of the original Super Mario Bros. pre-installed on the Wii’s hard drive. This special edition will have all the same levels you remember, but with a notable exception: the question boxes have been replaced with “25” logos. This bundle is exclusive to the Japan region, and it is unlikely that we’ll see a bundle like this in the North American region.
