Join Warzone Firefights in Halo 5

Halo 5 is going to get a lot of attention next week. 343 Industries has been preparing a major update that will launch on June 29. While the Xbox One game was already complete, even more is being added for everyone to enjoy for free. We’re talking about the Warzone Firefight survival mode, where you try to survive as long as possible through rounds where everyone is trying to kill you. Players will also be able to experience a campaign Score Attack for the first time, play the Attack on Sanctum, Molten, and Prospect maps in multiplayer, and create Forge maps with an oceanic canvas.

You’ll even be able to try Halo 5’ s Warzone Firefights, Score Attack, and other new features for free. That is, if you have Xbox Live Gold. Between June 29 and July 5, every Xbox Live Gold subscriber can play the full game for free. Given the size and scope of the game, it’s a good opportunity to test and see if it’s something you’d like. Also, it’s a means of showing off what one of the biggest Xbox One exclusives has to offer.

Normally, I’m not a Halo person, Halo Wars aside. But Halo 5 is a rather great game. Getting these free extras is only going to make the experience better. If you have the time and space for it, go ahead and give it a try while it’s free. Set aside a day and some hard drive space to download the 80GB game next Wednesday, when it’s free, and see what you think.
