Killing Floor 2 Reaches Xbox One this August

Killing Floor 2 Reaches Xbox One this August

Killing Floor 2 has been around since 2015. In technology terms, that sort of makes it old hat. It originally came out on PlayStation 4 and PC in November 2016, but it’s making the news for a very different console today. Killing Floor 2 will be coming to Xbox Ones everywhere on August 29. Bonus: it will be compatible with Xbox One X when it releases in November.

The zombie-centric game Killing Floor 2 has one to six players working together to take on waves of the flesh-rotting creatures. Killing Floor 2 calls them Zeds, and there are even some modes where you can play these monstrous creatures. Throughout its existence, Killing Floor 2 has been pretty well received by critics, and this most recently news brings it back into the spotlight.

If you haven’t playing Killing Floor 2 yet, there’s certainly some benefits to having waited this long. The Xbox One version of the game will have all the previously released DLC and a brand new weapon for the Survival Perk. The Freezethrower launches liquid nitrogen at Zeds which freezes them solid and allows you to shatter them like fine china. There are eight different skins for the Freezethrower in case you don’t like the original look. There will also be timed-exclusive access to the Wasteland Armor uniform with five different looks.

All of this will cost you a neat $40. The benefit of knowing it will play in 4K with even better performance on the Xbox One X is just the nail in the coffin. Keep an eye out for it at the end of August.
