Legend Of Heroes: Trails In The Sky Trilogy Getting A Windows 8 Rerelease

Legend Of Heroes: Trails In The Sky Trilogy Getting A Windows 8 Rerelease

In Japan, Falcom is one of the few developers with a focus on PC gaming. They’re released action RPGs like the Ys series and more traditional fare, such as Legend of Heroes, on Windows before bringing them to consoles and handhelds. Falcom is now reaching back and pulling the latter series onto our modern technology, with a Japanese rerelease of Legend of Heroes: Trails In The Sky that will be fully compatible with Windows 8. The trilogy will be out in April.

Could this mean that we’ll see the series come to the US in its entirety? XSEED translated and ported the PSP version of the first entry in the trilogy, but the others proved problematic from a technical perspective. However, given that the publisher now has a relationship with Steam, most recently bringing Ys I & II Chronicles+ to the digital storefront, a PC release of the Trail in the Sky Trilogy might actually be in the cards.
