If, like us, you were perplexed at the marked lack of Mario on Nintendo’s new portable, marvel no more. In a recent session of “Iwata Asks,” Shigeru Miyamoto revealed that he has a 3DS sequel in the works: “I am now making a new Super Mario Bros. game for the Nintendo 3DS system… I want to show everyone as soon as possible what the new Super Mario Bros. will be like on the Nintendo 3DS.” No further details were given.  Frankly they’d be remiss not to release another Super Mario Bros. title, as the latest entry in the series, New Super Mario Bros., has sold over twenty-six million units worldwide to date and has shown virtually no signs of slowing since launch. |
