Mass Effect: Andromeda Announced

BioWare opened EA’s E3 press conference with a teaser trailer for Mass Effect: Andromeda . Though the trailer itself said little, BioWare opened up a bit about the title on its blog.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is set long after and far away from the original Mass Effect trilogy. The player character has to be human again (boo), but can be a man or woman. The person depicted in the teaser is not the player character. True to the game’s title, you’ll be exploring the Andromeda galaxy with your crew of colorful characters. You’ll also be piloting a new and (hopefully greatly) improved Mako.

Andromeda has been created in the Frostbite engine and is targeting PC and current-gen consoles, so don’t expect to play it on your PS3 or 360. It will be released during the holiday 2016 season, so we have a year and a half to learn more about which aliens will be available for snogging purposes.
