According to Reuters, Microsoft is looking to expand their Xbox 360 offerings with an online subscription service, allowing Microsoft to give Xbox Live users access to television shows for an additional fee per month. Reuters has said Microsoft’s intention is to “rival efforts by Google Inc, Apple Inc and Netflix Inc,”  The actual model hasn’t been finalized, but includes ideas such as charging a monthly fee for access to networks such as ABC, NBC, and Fox, or selling individual channels to subscribers. However, these plans are still in the works, as the service won’t arrive for at least a year. |
