Minecraft 360 Releases In A Box In June

Minecraft 360 is a peculiar success story. It’s a game that easily rivals AAA releases in terms of sales, yet it never saw a release in stores. That is, until now.

We’ve known for a while that Minecraft 360 would be getting a boxed release, and now we know its launch date. If you are one of the few people who wants to play Minecraft but refused to purchase it on PC, Xbox 360 digital, iOS, Android, or any of the other platforms the game was offered on, you can now pick up a boxed version of the Xbox 360 Edition on June 28 th .

Aren’t you picky?

Minecraft has sold over 19 million copies since its release. It frequently tops the Xbox LIVE activity charts, beating out the most recently released Call of Duty flavor of the week. The 360 Edition has already sold over five million copies in just eight months, and now that they boxed version is hitting shelves, that number is bound to increase.

For the record, there is absolutely nothing different about the boxed version of Minecraft and the digitally distributed one. It’s literally the exact same game. So, if you already own a copy, there’s no need to go crazy and pick up another one.
