Despite nearly constant denials about plans for a sequel, EA recently gave fans a small glimmer of hope. In an interview with CVG games, EA Games label president Frank Gibeau refuted statements that the franchise had been unceremoniously killed off. He said, “I greenlight the games. I did not kill it — as God is my witness.”  Gibeau then went on to say that EA is looking for ways to bring Mirror’s Edge back that will excite fans and attract a new audience. The goal for a new Mirror’s Edge, according to Gibeau would be double or even triple the sales of its predecessor, so it has to be done right. |
