First revealed in a teaser video released before E3, Skarlet is the newest planned entrant to the Mortal Kombat tournament. She joins the game’s colorful cast of bloodied and battered combatants with a hemo-centric fighting style. In a game in which the blood flows freely and the bones break brutally, Skarlet still manages to stand out as a character composed entirely of the former. Her attacks are based on launching blood across the screen, propelling herself upon jets thereof to bodily take down her foes, and generally making it difficult to tell whose blood she—and her opponent—are covered in.
