Although Battlefield Heroes turned out to be an exercise in how not to make a free game, it looks like EA is trying their hand at the formula once again with Battlefield Play4Free, which was just announced yesterday. This online shooter will feature matches with up to thirty-two people at a time, against the backdrop of a US-Russian conflict. It is unclear how they will balance the levels between paid and free players, which was ultimately the breaking point of Battlefield Heroes, but we should receive more details soon as the game is set to release in spring of 2011.  |
