Though the NGP will have a special cartridge-based physical media for games, Sony announced that every single game made for the NGP will also be made available digitally. This is a smart move for Sony, as one of the major problems with the troubled PSP Go is the fact that many PSP catalog titles are not available as download-only titles.  Of course, no specifics were given about things like timed digital exclusives, which may boost sales for smaller titles, but I’m sure we’ll know more about the NGP’s game lineup as we get closer to launch (which should be sometime later this year, if the rumor mill is to be believed). |
