You know when it’s your birthday month and everything feels special? That’s a great feeling. It always seems like people are acting more kindly toward you, even when they have no idea your birthday is coming up. Even when your special day is over, people will still offer a half-hearted belated birthday wish, or a superficial sentiment of congratulation when they learn that it was your birthday yesterday, a few days ago, or last week. As the new month looms ever-nearer, you feel the magic dissipate, and things just get normal again.
I imagine that’s how Pokemon fans are feeling right now, as March is just around the corner. February was the month to celebrate all things Pokemon ; Pokemon news dominated headlines, we saw a brand new Pokemon revealed, and a sweet Pokemon commercial dominated the Super Bowl. Like an overly-enthusiastic child, Nintendo wants to keep the celebration going ’til the very end of the month, and will be hosting a special, Pokemon- themed Nintendo Direct this Friday! Expect news on Pokken Tournament, Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow, and knowing Nintendo you should expect a surprise or two as well. You can watch the Direct from Nintendo’s official site at 10 am ET.
