Tired of the bland white background of your 3DS? Well Nintendo has you covered. The most recent 3DS update has introduced downloadble themes. These themes will change the background and icons on your 3DS to a style of your choosing, along with adding custom sound effects. These themes all cost about 100 yen each, or about ninety cents U.S. Then again, in the UK prices have been set as high as £1.79 each which is about three dollars here. In Japan there are currently more than 40 themes available to buy.
In addition, the following updates were also included in firmware update 9.0.0:
- Users can now capture screenshots of their Home Menu.
- On the Nintendo 3DS eShop, the Title Information page has been updated to provide easier access to available videos, demos, user reviews, and other information.
- Further improvements to overall system stability.
