Nintendo Reveals 5 Ambassador GBA Games

Nintendo Reveals 5 Ambassador GBA Games

None

Nintendo still plans to make up for the early 3DS price drop for all the fans that went out and bought the console early at the original price. These early buyers were to be given twenty free games as part of Nintendo’s Ambassador Program. Until now, we assumed that these games would be available on the eShop for everyone else to buy as well.

But this is not so! It turns out that these other ten games will never be sold on the eShop. Instead, they will be exclusive to the Ambassadors who bought the console early. Hard to complain about that. Well, unless you’re not an Ambassador.

The games that have been revealed so far are Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi’s Island, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Metroid Fusion, WarioWare Inc.: Mega Micogames!, and Mario vs. Donkey Kong. Five other titles will be coming later and have not yet been announced.

However, there is a downside to this freebie. Unlike other downloadable titles, these games will not support Restore Points, Sleep Mode, or even any wireless functionality. This is sure to make games like Mario Kart slightly less fun.
