Nintendo’s Switch Day Plans Revealed

Nintendo’s Switch Day Plans Revealed

Next Thursday, January 12, is the day that Nintendo finally gives us some actual details about its upcoming console. Are you excited? I am, partially because I’m jazzed about the Switch and partially because it will finally put the current round of rumors and leaks to bed. Want to know how it’s all going down?  Here’s the schedule:

First up is the international Nintendo Switch livestream, which will be held at 8pm Pacific, 11pm Eastern on January 12. According to an announcement from Nintendo UK, this presentation will be held in Japanese with English voiceovers, which suggests that it will be the same for all regions of the world.

Next up is a Nintendo Treehouse Live presentation that begins at 6:30am Pacific ( thanks , Nintendo!), 9:30am Eastern on Friday, January 13. The Treehouse folks will be taking a closer look at various upcoming games that will be announced during the main presentation. There’s no news on how long this presentation will be, but if you’ve tuned in before, you know that those Treehouse people can go on for hours. I just hope they mostly cover games besides The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild . I don’t really want to have much more of it spoiled before launch!

To view the main Nintendo Switch presentation, hit up the official Nintendo website . The Treehouse presentation can be seen on Nintendo’s Youtube and Twitch channels, which will likely also broadcast the main presentation.
