Nintendo Selects Program Rolls Out in US

Nintendo Selects Program Rolls Out in US

This is very exciting news. I’ve been watching the headlines for weeks as Nintendo started rolling out its Nintendo Selects program, offering some of its best games on Wii U and 3DS for deeply discounted prices. First Europe, then Canada, and now Nintendo has officially announced the program for the US (I was starting to get a little worried). Nintendo of America’s executive vice president, Scott Moffitt, had this to say in regard to the new program: “Whether you just picked up a new Wii U or Nintendo 3DS system over the holiday season or want to expand your ever-growing game collection, Nintendo Selects are a great, affordable option. Not only are these games easier than ever to enjoy, but they also represent some of our highest-quality offerings in recent memory.”

If you’ve been following the Selects program as it was announced for Europe and Canada, then you already know which games you can expect to see discounted. For everyone else, here’s the rundown: Starting on March 11, on the Wii U you’ll find Super Mario 3D World, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Pikmin 3, and NES Remix Pack all for $20. For the 3DS you’ll find The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Yoshi’s New Island, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, and Mario Party: Island Tour for the same price. Happy shopping, Nintendo fans.
