No Toddlers or Pools when The Sims 4 Launches

As reported by GameZone on Thursday, June 26, the upcoming addition to The Sims franchise, The Sims 4 , won’t have the ability for you to build your own pools or have virtual toddlers running around at the game’s launch.

This revelation came from a blog post by producer Ryan Vaughn , which touched on various smaller details about the game. Even though pool building won’t be available, there is a new Fountain Tool that’ll allow for you to create sophisticated landscapes. Further more, toddlers won’t be an age in The Sims 4 .

While it’s not possible for us to include every single feature and piece of content we added to The Sims 3 over the last 5 years, we’ve added features that you’ve asked for and that offer a whole new intuitive and fun way to build, ” Vaughn explained. ” These are features like Wall Height Adjustment, Dynamic Foundation Sizing, and Smart Windows!

And though pool building won’t be available in September, we do have a new Fountain Tool so you can create sophisticated landscapes . As for ages, we have babies, children, teens, young adults, adults and elders ,” he added.

Later, fellow producer Graham Nardone further clarified via Twitter that the baby and toddler ages were not a combined age.

It is not known at this time whether or not these features will be added at a later date during The Sims 4’s life, but it’s inferred in Vaughn’s blog post that such features may appear in later expansions.

“While we recognize that some of you will be disappointed that pools and toddlers won’t be available when The Sims 4 Base Game launches in September, you should know that we’re building an incredibly strong foundation that is capable of fulfilling every one of your desires in the years to come, ” Vaughn noted. “ The future of The Sims 4 is bright!

We’ll bring your more details on The Sims 4’s development should further information reach our ears.
