We’ve been talking about the Overwatch anniversary/birthday event for a while now and it’s finally here!! May 23 marks the first day of the anniversary event, and it will run until June 12. You can join the event on your PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC!
This means there are tons of new things to see in Overwatch . Three new Arena maps are out with the event: Castillo, Necropolis, and Black Forest. You should also buy or work toward earning loot boxes. There are also 11 new skins that have released for the event. They kind of look like Blizzard might have let the artistic team create whatever they most wanted to design for the characters. There’s no clear theme otherwise. There are also dancing emotes for all of the characters so you can party like it’s your birthday! To help Overwatch celebrate you’ll also get one anniversary loot box so long as you sign in during the event period.
Overwatch ‘s free-weekend is coinciding with the anniversary event. So between May 26 and May 29, you should get all your Overwatch -less friends to play with you! Maybe they’ll get hooked too and stick around for the end of the event. What are you waiting for? Go celebrate with Overwatch .
