People Get $10 As Fallout 4 Pricing Error Apology

Something miraculous happened on June 10. I’m not talking about some sort of extraordinary E3 2016 leak. People who went on their Xbox Ones and visited the store could find free copies of Fallout 4 . Naturally, folks took advantage of the unexpected windfall and “bought” copies. They didn’t get to keep them.

Microsoft revoked the licenses of everyone who opted in for the abruptly free Fallout 4 . Anyone who acquired it through that brief exploit suddenly found themselves out of the Commonwealth. However, the company has offered a consolation prize. As an apology for the inconvenience, everyone who did claim a free copy of Fallout 4 has gotten a $10 credit to their account.

Honestly, this is an incredible show of goodwill. Microsoft didn’t have to do anything for people trying to grab a freebie. They could have revoked the licenses and been justified. But no, people received $10 free. It makes me wonder if that would have happened if it wasn’t E3 week.
