PS3 Slim Reveal at GamesCom Confirmed?; Source Likely Garbage

PS3 Slim Reveal at GamesCom Confirmed?; Source Likely Garbage

None

PlayStation LifeStyle has procured a GamesCom document from one of their readers (smeg orz), who claims the following press conference summary is “100% legit.”

The document reveals that a number of Sony products will be on display at the media event including black and white versions of the forthcoming PSPgo, some sort of PS3 TOOL, and an unannounced version of the Sony PS3 – presumed to be the PS3 Slim.

While the requisite logos point to legitimacy, it doesn’t take a genius to use Photoshop. Furthermore, only one logo was submitted from Sony, that of Sony Computer Entertainment – certainly an odd choice.

Also, we found a few major issues with the formatting of the names of the products. For starters, Sony never sends out PS3 materials that use PlayStation 3 (this is a relic from the PlayStation 2 days), they always use PLAYSTATION 3.

Moreover, the same is true for the PSPgo. The document uses PSPGo!, though official Sony literature uses PSPgo. Nevertheless, it’s fun to fuel speculation. Besides, whether the document is real or not, we’re pretty sure the PS3 Slim will be announced.

Though the document is tough to read when formatted to fit into our news template, you can click HERE to see the document from the original source or simply read the following text taken directly from the posting:

2 x PlayStation 3 TOOL

1 x PlayStation 3 (Unannounced Product / Discretion advised by Client)

2 x PSPGo!

  • 1 x White
  • 1 x Black

2 x PlayStation EYE Camera (NOTE: Is not a Video Camera for recording Presentation, no fee required)
