Sony has recently taken to twitter to announce that the next PS4 update should be coming soon. Update 2.01 looks to fix multiple problems that people have with the consoles standby or “rest” mode. Many users have been reporting that the console has been freezing when it goes to rest ever since the recent 2.00 “Masamune” update. For now, Sony is recommending you boot the console in safe mode to get around the problem, until the next update is released.
Unfortunately, Sony has not given an official date for the release of this new patch, nor have they announced any features aside from the rest mode fix. We will bring you more information on this new patch as it becomes available.
