PSN Getting Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath Remake

PSN Getting Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath Remake

None

Quite a while ago, we reported on the teaming up between Just Add Water and Oddworld Inhabitants. Although they wouldn’t specify what they were working on, it was a good guess that it was related to the long-absent and much adored Oddworld series. Fortunately, the time has finally come for their first announcement, which is an HD remake of Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath (via 1Up).

Due for release on PSN “next Easter,” this version of the game will be coming with a variety of improvements and new features. Along with updated graphics, the Stranger’s Wrath remake will also feature 720p support, re-mastered dialogue, PlayStation Move support, and some other unannounced bonus features. In a statement, managing director of Just Add Water Stewart Gilray states “Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath is the first project in what we believe will be a long and fruitful relationship. Having the chance to update this great title and release it on PS3 is just a brilliant opportunity, not least for us, but for the fans too.”
