Rayman Origins sprung out of left field last year to capture the hearts of traditional platforming fans across the globe. It’s a brilliant, gorgeous, unabashedly traditional side-scroller with charm to spare and a killer co-op mode for those with the friends and controllers to make it happen. It’s a strange thing, though, seeing such a throwback on store shelves next to other Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii games. Wouldn’t it be more at home on, say, a handheld?
