Rhythm Heaven Tops Japanese Charts

Rhythm Heaven Tops Japanese Charts

None

The top-selling Japanese video games list is filled with smash hits right now. They have the awesome samurai epic Sengoku Basara Heroes Chronicles for the PSP, the bizarre Suda 51 produced No More Heroes: Red Zone for the PS3, and even Alice: Madness Returns. So which game takes home the gold this week? None of these. The most popular game in Japan right now is none other than the brand new Rhythm Heaven game slated to come out in America later this year.

Rhythm Heaven Wii sold over 118,000 copies last week according to sales tracker Media Create, with Sengoku Basara coming in second with around 83,000 and No More Heroes coming in at 40,000. The Wii doesn’t normally grace the top of the sales charts these days, but hey, everyone deserves some time in the spotlight.

Hopefully, Rhythm Heaven will do just as well here in the states, and perhaps its success will make Nintendo take a second, or in this case fifth (or so) look at Pandora’s Tower as well.
