Rocket League Betting Is Here And Not Everyone’s Happy

Australia and the UK are a hot-spot for gambling on competitive gaming, and betting company Unikrn has announced support for Rocket League . Turns out, this is not an official partnership, and Psyonix has already come out and expressed its disapproval of the practice.

Unikrn announced that Australian regulation has approved Rocket League for real-money betting in what the company calls its “sportsbook.” Players will be able to use in-house odds to wage bets on professional content and big tournaments.

Psyonix later released a statement saying, “Psyonix is not affiliated with Unikrn, nor do we support or endorse online betting for our game.” Rahul Sood, CEO of Unikrn, released an additional statement in response. “We are not in any way associated with the publishers of Rocket League . However, we love the game, and like other titles on our sportsbook, we create odds and content on the pro matches and their top tier tournaments.” Interesting!

Unikrn also runs gambling for large, competitive games such as Call of Duty, League of Legends, Counter-Strike and more.
