September is going to be a great month for Rocket League . The game is going to get a pretty major update. Rumble will be joining, adding a super-powered mode for anyone who owns a copy. Really, I’m not kidding. Once Rumble is patched in, you’ll be able to collect 11 different, game-changing abilities as you play.
The 11 Rocket League Rumble skills completely change the game. It lets you ruin other players’ days, while also making it easier for you to get control of the ball and go for a goal. Here’s the full list of every power-up and what it does, taken from the official website .
- The Boot: Kicks an opponent’s car
- Disruptor: Forces your opponent to drive uncontrollably
- Freezer: Freezes the ball in-place
- Grappling Hook: Pulls you towards the ball
- Haymaker: Punches the ball
- Magnetizer: Attracts the ball to your car
- Plunger: Grabs the ball via plunger and cord
- Power Hitter: Allows you to hit everything harder
- Spike: Attach the ball to your car when you bump into it
- Swapper: Change positions on the field with your opponent
- Tornado: Sweep up the ball and opposing cars into a giant funnel cloud
I think Magnetizer and Spike will probably end up being my favorites.
There’s also a Rocket League trailer going over Rumble’s awesome power-ups. They look really cool. Like, if you have trouble playing like I do? These extra abilities will end up making a big difference. It’s going to be great!
