March Madness Means Basketball in Rocket League

March Madness Means Basketball in Rocket League

Here’s the cool thing about Psyonix’s Rocket League. The PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC game keeps getting updates that add new decorative options, modes, and cars. While the latest feature hasn’t been officially detailed, the developer couldn’t help but let the world know Rocket League will be getting a mode where you can play basketball.

Right now, Rocket League is essentially a soccer game. Each player controls an R/C car. They send them around the field, trying to ram a ball into the other team’s goal. You even have to have someone hanging around your goal as something of a goalie. Some really cool tricks can be pulled off, which let your cars soar into the air and send balls flying, and it looks like the basketball mode will tap into that.

It looks like you’ll need to propel the ball into the air so it flies through a giant basketball hoop. The first screenshot shows the soccer ball as a black and grey basketball, with a car flying through the air to send it toward an opponent’s hoop in what appears to be a basketball court.

Let’s hope this Rocket League mode appears when March Madness starts on March 15!
