Rockstar Delaying Proposed GTA Online Stimulus Package

Rockstar Delaying Proposed GTA Online Stimulus Package

A while ago, Rockstar promised that they would inject a bunch of money into Grand Theft Auto Online as a stimulus to pay gamers back for lost data during the game’s early buggy days. However, we still haven’t seen any money hit the game. Could it be that Rockstar is worse at stimulating the economy than our own U.S. government? OOOOH POLITICAL BURN!

Rockstar made an official comment on the patch and stimulus announcement page about the status of the stimulus saying, “We hope to have an update for you on that very soon. As others have mentioned here, we of course want to make sure player progress loss issues are addressed before providing everyone with their GTA$500k. Thanks for your patience and please stay tuned.”

So by Rockstar’s own admission, GTA Online isn’t completely fixed yet. While numerous patches have come out for the game, players are still reporting lost data, missing characters, and other glitch online problems. Most of these come from failures to synch with Rockstar’s cloud services.

We will bring you more info on the GTA Stimulus Package as it becomes available.
