Recently, Sony filed a trademark for Destiny of Spirits. The trademark pertains to any type of video game software: computer, handheld, or console. With E3 right around the corner, we’re probably going to find out what exactly Destiny of Spirits is, but we may already know thanks to a thread on NeoGAF.
The thread contains an image of what appears to be leaked promotional text concerning Destiny of Spirits, developed by FromSoftware, for a PlayStation 4 title. The game will feature skill-driven combat, monstrous gods, cooperative gameplay with up to three friends, Remote Play with the PlayStation Vita, and craftable weapons built from scratch.
Gee, that sounds a lot like Demon’s Souls, doesn’t it? I mean, that would make sense, since FromSoftware also worked on that title as well.
If true, this is a pretty big checkmark on Sony’s “to-do list” for E3. We already know some exclusives, but they need a bigger oomph than just a new Killzone and Infamous.
Destiny of Spirits would be a pretty big oomph.
