An alleged 2K Games source has said Mafia 3 is currently in development for next-gen consoles. Eurogamer’s source reveals that the third installment was originally due to release on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 but, due to developer 2K Czech losing some 40 staff members last year, the game will now be released on the next Xbox and PlayStation 4. 2K Czech is currently hiring for 11 positions, one of which is for a systems designer. The listings refer to the project applicants would be working on as the studio’s “next AAA title.”
