Rumor Round-Up: Bungie's Plans, Braid to PS3, PSP 3001, and more!

None

The Rumor Round-Up summarizes and highlights the most important gaming related gossip over the past week. This weekly article, in conjunction with the Week in Review, will keep you plugged in and in-tune.

Rumors about Rare’s future plans for the Xbox 360 were fleshed out this week. According to That Gaming Site, Rare has a total of ten titles (11 actually) slated for the 360. While impressive, this list seems to be somewhat suspect, as Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise was inexplicably absent from the list, Conker 3 was listed as Conker 2, and Goldeneye will almost surely never see the light of day due to rights issues.

Nevertheless, you can find the revised list by clicking HERE .

Sony owners may get to play the temporal puzzler Braid on their PS3s after all. In an interview with Game Focus, creator Jonathan Blow mentioned that the downloadable platformer may in fact make its way to the PSN. Of course, Microsoft does have an extended window of exclusivity. That means it will probably be some time before the title is ported over to the PS3.

In related news, due to the storage constraints of the Wii, Braid will not be moseying on over to Nintendo’s WiiWare.

After months of rumors and speculation, Sony has confirmed the existence of the PSP 3001 via an FCC filing. Unfortunately, there is no other info available at this time, as Sony is trying to keep the wraps on both the gadget’s form and functionality.

In a video acceptance speech at this year’s Edge Awards, Bungie let on to some of the future innovations to the Halo franchise. Many felt that Halo 4 was indeed in the works, but now it looks as if major upgrades to Halo 3, including a map editor, are more likely. Click HERE to see the video acceptance.

Thanks so much everyone and we will see you next week!
