It’s hard to believe, but the Wii is still the same price as the base Xbox 360 model, which makes it a lot less competitive as the only non-HD compatible console on the market. Though the console still sold well last year, the past several months have seen the Wii’s sales plummeting, which can only mean one thing: it’s time for a price drop!  Sources well-connected within Nintendo are whispering that the console is going to be receiving that price drop very soon, and it will take effect on May 15. Though we’ll label this as a rumor for now, the specific date does make these whisperings seem fairly credible. |
