SEGA Announces Sonic Adventure 2 And NiGHTS HD

SEGA has recently announced that fan favorite games Sonic Adventure 2 and NiGHTS into Dreams will be getting HD remakes for current generation gaming platforms. Both games will be available on October 2 for $9.99 on PlayStation Network and on October 5 for 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE Arcade.

Sonic Adventure 2 has been remade before for the Nintendo GameCube which included a bunch of new extras. Unfortunately, those extras aren’t available in the Sonic Adventure 2 HD remake. Instead, you will have to shell out an additional three dollars or 240 Microsoft Points to get the “Battle Mode DLC” which essentially includes everything from the GameCube version (which was entitled Sonic Adventure 2 Battle).

The HD remake of NiGHTS, on the other hand, has a bunch of free stuff for hardcore NiGHTS fans to take advantage of. It will include all of the dreams from the 1996 holiday-themed expansion Christmas NiGHTS. This expansion was previously only available through a special Saturn holiday bundle, or from special promotions in video game magazines. Now, it is available to anyone who is willing to download the game on their HD console of choice.
