SFxTK Patched Yet Again

SFxTK Patched Yet Again

None

The Street Fighter X Tekken patches just keep coming, with another due out sometime in mid-May. That is, at most, a couple of weeks away. The primary focus this time appears to be cleaning up the core gameplay, taking out exploitable glitches and, most importantly, infinite combos that could outright break the game.

This is almost purely a technical update: no gem releases, no new characters (when are those coming out?) and no new modes. This is a patch in the most literal sense, rather than the content update that was released merely a week ago .

It’s always a pleasure to see a company offer post-release support for their game, especially when it’s the cornerstone of a tremendous professional competitive community. In the old days, exploitable characters and techniques would simply result in tournament bans, whereas now there’s a chance for those imbalances to be corrected post-release. It’s a brave new world.
