Skyward Sword Due Early Next Year

Skyward Sword Due Early Next Year

None

Watching Shigeru Miyamoto’s stage demo for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword at this year’s E3 probably left many Zelda fans questioning if the game would ever come out. Thankfully, the game’s awful performance was due to wireless interference, rather than the title being unfinished or buggy. Even so, we weren’t given a release date for the new Zelda game other than the year, which was 2011.

While the final date still hasn’t been fully revealed, the game’s producer Eiji Aonuma narrowed the release window when talking to the Official Nintendo Magazine. Aonuma states “Early 2011 – that is what we’re aiming for.” explaining “The basis we have now is very, very solid,” This is definitely good news, however, what does this mean for the Ocarina of Time remake for the upcoming 3DS? It is highly unlikely that Nintendo will put two Zelda games out at roughly the same time, meaning one of the two might just slip until later early 2011.
