Sony has shipped over eight million Move controller units to retailers worldwide as of April 3. The company reports that demand for the Move is “strong,” although it does not provide any specific sales numbers. Sony does report that over fifty million PlayStation 3 units have been sold globally, and that it is pleased with the sales of the Move peripheral to both the “casual” and “hard core” markets.  As an example, Sony cites Killzone 3, which can be played using Move coupled with the Sharp Shooter peripheral. The Sharp Shooter saw a 40% attach rate amongst Killzone 3 players, which Sony reports is a positive sign for its varied line up of Move-enabled games to come. |
