None

Over on the PlayStation Blog, Director of Hardware Marketing, John Koller, announced that Sony will be offering extended warranties for both the PS3 and PSP systems. The program starts in May and is available to all Sony consumers in the United States.

These manufacturer’s warranties will extend the standard 1-year warranty for defects an additional year or two, depending on the plan you select. The PSP is also eligible for an accidental damage warranty that will let PSP owners get a cracked screen replaced. The plans are priced as follows:

PS3 – 1-year extension ($44.99) or 2-year extension ($59.99)

PSP – 1-year extension ($29.99) or 2-year extension ($39.99)

PSP Accidental Damage – 1-year ($39.99) or 2-year ($49.99)
