Well, it looks like the PlayStation Network is going to have some company in the wide world of offline-land, as Sony’s MMO branch, Sony Online Entertainment, has just been taken offline this morning. The home of games like EverQuest, FreeRealms, and DC Universe Online released a statement saying, “We have had to take the SOE service down temporarily. In the course of our investigation into the intrusion into our systems we have discovered an issue that warrants enough concern for us to take the service down effective immediately. We will provide an update later today (Monday).”  Although there doesn’t seem to be any immediate reason to panic, if you use SOE’s services it might be a good idea to change your passwords, just in case. |
