LulzSec Continues Its Attacks

None

Have you noticed that your internet is running more slowly than usual? Well, you can stop banging on your router and fiddling with your Ethernet cables, because your connection is just fine. Lately, a hacker group called LulzSec (short for Lulz Security) has been targeting several geeky sites just to prove that they can. Recently, they have launched DDoS attacks against Sony, Bethesda, and even the FBI. Today, they concluded their attacks by taking down EVE Online, Escapist Magazine, and Minecraft.

LulzSec has specifically stated that they launch these DDoS attacks simply for their own amusement. They like seeing how angry people get when they are denied their favorite services. Their twit stream in particular is filled with links to forums where people are raging about service outages. Some people say that LulzSec is trying to raise awareness about how crappy online security actually is. LulzSec, on the other hand, freely admits that they are just “in it for the lulz.”
