LulzSec Hacker Released On Bail

LulzSec Hacker Released On Bail

None

With LulzSec and Anonymous eating themselves from the inside, it’s only natural that we will see some arrests crop up in the news. Ryan Cleary, age 19, was arrested last week in connection with the LulzSec attacks. He was recently released on bail, but he’s being kept on a short leash.

According to an article by Reuters, Cleary has been electronically tagged and is under house arrest. He is currently under a curfew which only allows him to leave the house between 9am and 7pm. In addition, he must be accompanied by his parents. In short, this punishment is not likely to earn him any friends.

Cleary’s mother was interviewed, saying that her son “lived his life online.” However, she merely thought he was playing games, not hacking high-profile CIA websites. His mother described him as “reclusive,” mostly keeping to himself in his room. She said he rarely left the house for any reason.

Since his arrest, Cleary has been diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome, which typically makes social interaction difficult. Some have attributed this to his behavior in the LulzSec attacks.

Investigations into the identities of other LulzSec members are ongoing.
