New Hacking Group Wants To Destroy Sony

New Hacking Group Wants To Destroy Sony

None

Move over, Anonymous, there’s a new sheriff in town. Apparently, now that OpSony has wound down, a new hacking group has decided to take up arms against Sony for no real reason: LulzSec. If the name sounds vaguely familiar, it is because the group took down several websites yesterday, including those for PBS and Lockheed Martin. Apparently, this hacking group doesn’t have any specific goals and likes to post photos of Nyan Cat just to prove how “funny” they are. Too bad no one is laughing.

According to the group, phase one of their plan to take down Sony will start this week, with the group saying a “pre-game show” will commence in the next 24 hours. Of course, since all this information is posted on the internet, it couldn’t have escaped Sony’s notice. I’m sure they are working on beefing up their security as we speak. Sony can’t afford another hacking incident, even at the hands of a group that is only “in it for the lulz.” It is seriously doubtful that these new hackers will be able to infiltrate Sony, especially since the world is watching.
