Anonymous Confirms And Denies Responsibility For PSN Hack

None

One of the problems with having a truly collective entity where no one really knows anything about the members is that someone can just fly off the handle and give the whole place some bad PR. That’s looking like the situation with Anonymous. Since the PSN hack last month, the group has been persistent in their denials of responsibility for the attack.

And then someone stepped forward today, and said that they know that some members of the #OpSony board talked about exploiting the PSN mere minutes before the hack actually went down. Even if the Anonymous community at-large doesn’t want to be associated with the event, since it seems one of their members may have perpetrated the hack, Anonymous actually is responsible. And since this event has attracted attention from the US government, the FBI, and several top security firms, this could plausibly be the group’s undoing.
