Sony Outspends Microsoft on TV Ads

Research firm iSpot recently released some interesting data regarding Sony and Microsoft’s advertising expenditure. According to their results, Sony is outspending Microsoft in terms of TV advertisements.

The firm gathered data from May 2014. According to their research, Sony spent a total of $59 million in advertisements on FOX, ESPN, Comedy Central, FOX Sports 1 and TNT. Meanwhile, Microsoft spent their $34.7on FOX, ESPN and Comedy Central and AMC.

The data also shows more interesting results. For instance, iSpot figured out that Microsoft is more successful on Facebook; however, Sony has more digital actions overall.
