Sony Tablet Coming Soon

Sony Tablet Coming Soon

None

A while back, Sony announced two different tablet computers, the S1 and the S2. The S1 was a traditional tablet computer, while the S2 looked like some sort of strange clamshell DS-looking thing. Today, we finally got word as to when one of these tablets is coming out and what it will cost.

The S1 will go on sale later this month with a five hundred dollar price tag. It also will be getting a name change, now being called the “Tablet S.” The S2, on the other hand, will go on sale in November. There is no word on what the price will be, but the name has been changed to the “Tablet P.”

Both of these tablets are PlayStation Certified, just like the PlayStation Phone. This means users will be able to download fully functioning PSOne games (and possibly indie games in the future) from the PlayStation Store. So if you are looking for an extremely portable retro gaming computer, this might be the tablet for you.

Then again, my smartphone can run a PSOne emulator with no problem as well, so you really have to be dedicated to the tablet idea to get one of these. Technology is great isn’t it?
