Sony TV Bundle Drops Resistance

Sony TV Bundle Drops Resistance

None

At E3 this year, Sony said it would bring 3D gaming into the homes of gamers everywhere at a low price point, making it accessible to nearly everyone. They announced a new 3D enabled HD gaming monitor that was built solely for the gaming experience. This PlayStation TV was going to be sold in a bundle for five hundred dollars, and was going to include a pair of 3D glasses, an HDMI cable, and Resistance 3.

The big selling point of this bundle was obviously Resistance 3, a brand new game from one of Sony’s most successful franchises. However, now it appears that Sony is swapping out Resistance 3 for Motorstorm Apocalypse. It’s a good game, but one with far less hype surrounding it.

Why did Sony remove Resistance from the bundle? We aren’t sure, and Sony has declined to offer a reason for the swap. The big question: will the bundle sell as well now that we won’t get to shoot aliens on our brand new 3D TVs?
