Well, we’re at the end of the year, so I guess it’s time we start thinking about which game we want to represent 2013 in gaming.
Over at Spike.com, the choices have been narrowed down to five nominees. Of those five, four are shooters. The other is a Mario title. So don’t let it be said that 2013 wasn’t a year of diversity.

Tomb Raider
So, really, there aren’t any surprises in the nominees, but the winner itself may be surprising. From where I sit right now, it looks clear where gamers will likely cast their vote.
And they’ll be wrong, because they’re probably not voting for Tomb Raider , which was one of the most extraordinary games to exist in some time. But I digress.
