Steam In-Home Streaming Beta Registration Opens

Steam In-Home Streaming Beta Registration Opens

Valve has recently opened up beta registration for its new Steam In-Home Streaming service. This will allow gamers to stream games from one machine to another anywhere in the house. This is good for both making your Steam games available on every machine you own, and for playing Steam games on machines that may not have the graphical rendering power to play them otherwise.

Valve says that the beta test for the service will open later this year and that beta participants will be selected at random from members of the Steam In-Home Streaming group. There are no minimum system requirements to join the beta, so feel free to sign up no matter how much of a paperweight your computer is.

In-Home streaming will be available in Valve’s new SteamOS and the much-anticipated Steam Machine, which should release next year. We will bring you more information on the Steam Machine’s release as it becomes available. For now, head on over to the official Steam In-Home Streaming community page in order to join the group and become eligible for the beta.
