Super Smash Brothers has already sold almost three million copies worldwide, and it’s only out for the 3DS right now! But not only that, Nintendo says that the release of the game has boosted sales of its handheld console by 55%. Smash was the 4 th best selling software title last month, and continues to sell strongly today. Interestingly enough, Wii U sales also ballooned, with an almost 50 percent increase. Perhaps Smash 3DS owners are purchasing Wii U’s for the future promise of Smash on that console. Of Course, Mario Kart 8 and Hyrule Warriors also don’t hurt.
