Are you looking to pick up a Wii U but are turned off by the heavy price tag? Well, you’re are in luck. Target is having a sale on the latest Nintendo console, offering a Wii U Basic unit at only $239.99. This may be the lowest price we have yet seen for the console.
The Wii U has been routinely falling short of Nintendo’s sales expectations. Only a few short months after its release, the console is selling slowly, moving only tens of thousands of units per month. The console craze isn’t nearly as powerful as it was for the Wii, and the Wii U’s soft launch line-up isn’t helping.
It’s possible that Target is able to offer this price due to having a surplus of gaming consoles in stock. That almost never happens shortly after a consoles release and would bode ill for the console if that was the case.
Still, what’s bad for Nintendo is good for you! So head on out to target to pick up Nintendo’s latest in preparation for some big reveals at E3 this year like Smash Brothers U.
